CTD to build a CubeSat Boom Deployer for the Colorado Center for Astrodynamics Research (CCAR)

Composite Technology Development, inc (CTD) was awarded a contract supporting the Colorado Center for Astrodynamics

Research (CCAR) at the University of Colorado Boulder’s grant from the National Science Foundation to deliver a CubeSat that maps the energy of lightning in space. As part of this effort, CTD will deliver a boom deployer system for the CANVAS (Climatology of Anthropocentric and Natural VLF wave Activity in Space) CubeSat mission lead by Dr. Robert A. Marshall (Ann and H.J. SMead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder) and his team.

CTD expects to support Dr. Marshall through the duration of the contract, culminating in a launch in late 2021/early 2022.
