CTD Awarded Patent for Boom Deployment Mechanism

Dr. Alexi Rakow and the CTD Team were awarded a patent (US Patent 10,196,817) for a Locking Mechanism for Deployable Booms. This intellectual property supports CTD’s continued market leadership in novel packaging and deploying mechanisms for SmallSat and CubeSat payloads. This enables increased boom stiffness to support large payloads at the boom tip.
